Dear Pipsqueaks,
Not sure why that is, but every time I come back, my sister and I just have SO many things to do that we could be out ALL day. One of the must-dos is getting a hair treatment in. A friend-recommended, Happy Hair Professional was one of the salons with the best service I've been to. They served drinks upon arrive, locked storage for your items, a separate quite room for hair spa, and a scalp scan to check how clean your scalp is. Not to mention the hair treatment packages they offer. They even have a package that's similar to a mixture of Thai Massage and guasha for the head. I actually fell asleep twice during the treatment, which never happens. So yes, great service. And they have blankets for you to keep warm if your cold in your seat! I would definitely make another appointment there during my next visit home - totally recommended.
Oh right, we went for a snack to leave some space for dinner at home. So le sister took me to a traditional Taiwanese egg fried rice and oden in Ximending. I'm pretty sure if no one took me there, I wouldn't walk in myself. It has a 'Taiwanese gangster owned' look, but food is authentic enough. Sorry, but I honestly can't remember what the place is called. Just ask around - I think it's famous enough for locals to be able to point it out.
Then, we wandered to the famous camera street in Taipei to look for my new camera. Of course, being so close to Chinese New Year, understandably some stores wouldn't be open. But, what do you know, there was that ONE shop selling the particular Casio camera on my to-buy list! Now, I'm a proud owner of a super cool selfie camera EX-ZR5000! The lady also took the time to explain the functions of the camera, which normally most wouldn't be willing to do. She was very friendly and engaging, so a very happy customer I am! I know it's not exactly the most fair way to judge the whole area based on one shop, but considering that it's a competitive market, I think it'd be logical to expect the same if not better from the camera shops there. A place to try if your looking for a new camera!

(Say hi!!!)
After getting a call from mama, we quickly started our journey home to Keelung where a delicious homemade dinner was waiting for us. This is one of the main reasons why I love coming home - parents' cooking. Yes, my papa cooks too. The only mystery is how the two of them fit in the same tiny kitchen to prepare their own dishes, haha! Gotta run, chat later!
