Following my previous post, YES, the wedding took place anyway despite all the talks. As a token of appreciation for your readership support, I would like to share the highlights of this special night with a few photos...
(Apparently, there were two other events taking place at KL Convention Center that night- totaling the head count of the entire building to more than 5,000 people! So just in case you get extremely lost, this will either tell you that you have arrived at your destination, or you're crashing the wrong party :P)
(our table full of gifts: you can tell the theme of the wedding is OBVIOUSLY badminton. Not to mention all the other things in our goodie bag. Though, in consideration of everything, I still find the invitations to be the best souvenir- yes, it had wedding photo postcards!)
(A special live sand art performance dedicated to the couple. It sure set the romantic mood for the rest of the night)
(Of course, you didn't think the couple would get away with not being picked on at their own wedding. Mew Choo was just adorable! She was so shy that she kept to one phrase answers, and as always, supported Chong Wei in getting back to training and competition, even though that meant pushing back their honeymoon. Well, I mean, honeymoon's just over-rated. If you're happy, you're honeymoon-ing everyday!)
(The inedible wedding cake...actually, it IS edible, but it's just vanilla sponge cake with personalized designs. I'm not sacrificing my calorie count for that...then again, they weren't even serving this cake, or cake in general! *disappointed*)
(Not sure if this was edible or just for looks, but it sure posed amazingly! I love the touch with the pink photo frame in front. You know they love the sport~)
(The couple's first dance- well, first dance of the night considering they already danced last night. That smile of Chong Wei's is infectious! I can't help but smile with him~ Congrats to the lovebirds *heart*)
(Upon departing the gathering, all the guests were invited to take group photos with the newlyweds. I, got to take one with them all by myself *gloat*. Except, I'm not sure how to get my hands on that photo as it was taken by the event organizers. Maybe they'll post it somewhere...In the meantime, this picture will do!)
