See But No Play in [Bangkok]: Day 1

Dear pipsqueaks,

Day one was on a whole new level of dreadfulness in my dictionary: I woke up one hour earlier than I should!! *faint* So how did I manage to do that? I usually use my phone as my alarm clock, so when it sang this morning, I swung my leg around the edge and let gravity force me off the bed. Somehow, this part of mornings like these were all so blur. In the end, I'm dressed, packed, and ready to go. Just when I was putting on my watched, I had noticed the time was one hour earlier. Quickly, I glanced at the clock under the TV- it was only 6:15!? Unless I went back in time, there was no way it could have been 6:15am. Then...it came to me. My phone was in KL time...crap.

Fine. Even my phone was against me. No worries, no biggie, said I while I slipped off my work dress...and slipped back into the warm and comfy bed for another hour! Sweet as~

The rest of the day was work until dinner time! Actually, I was supposed to join a group that were doing the badminton-then-dinner plan, but as the meeting finished way past the scheduled time, the ones in the meeting all missed the departure. So, I headed to the nearby mall called "Terminal 21" for dinner. It's quite an interestingly designed mall! Played with the idea of an airport, each level was designated with a city theme. When I saw a "departure for Paris", I was more than excited...only if that were true.

(It's all a lie! The escalator didn't take me to Paris! Hmph~)

But anyway, after wandering around and getting more indecisive, I randomly walked into a Thai restaurant and ordered the one thing they can't go wrong with- or I hope so- Pad Thai. A tad different than what I had expected, but I think with the amount of Pad Thais I've tried, it was acceptable. This made me miss that "Dome" restaurant that practically made my trip in Phuket back in October. Hmm, Thai pancake...I wonder if I could find some here in Bangkok.

(It looked like Pad Thai...and luckily, it tasted like Pad Thai :P)

(Why didn't I bring my swimsuit...*facepalm* But I can always go relax there)

A flash of determination did tempt me to head for gym, but I was mentally drained. I needed to recharge, so after catching up with the last bits of social media coverage of our event while watching random glimpse of "Cowboys and Aliens", it's time to build my pillow fortress and check into lala land....

Good night, Bangkok. Let's be nice to me for the next week please...that includes not raining when I get off duty! Please and thank you~
