Steve Jobs: iMourn

Dear pipsqueaks,

(written yesterday...)
Today, the world mourned in sync for the death of Steve Jobs: the genius behind the Apple empire. It's odd cos I didn't really intend to write about him, but after watching the news n a special tribute, it just didn't feel right to miss it. I should probably explain that- though I do own an itouch- I've never been an Apple person or a person that's always chasing after the next i-blah. It's probably not Steve's fault anyways- I'm just not a tech-addict in general. Regardless, they're right...whether or not ur an Apple user, u cannot deny the fact that it had changed the world, from the way we communicate, entertain, n, well, function.

It's probably a very bold move to make such an accusation, but I'm willing to bet that everyone, at some point in time, had come into contact with an Apple product. Be it an ipod, iphone, itouch, ishuffle, ipad, or a mac- u name it. So what's so crazy about his creations? Well, convenience, conformity, contribution. Convenience in the way of how information can be packaged; conformity in the sense of the apple family; contribution in the case of how technology has been evolutionized. Now, do u think he ever thought of how his ideas will change the lives of millions? Probably not. I mean, no one really knows how it'll turn out, but like a brewing pot, if u throw all u got in it, whatever it ends up to be can't be far from ur best; at least ur best efforts. I just wonder if it ever crossed his mind that people will forever keep a piece of him with them. Kinda cool, isn't it? He'll never really leave us. Not really. Just remember to thank him once in a while when u pull out ur i-gadget. U owe him at least that much.

Success is measured in many ways; if u can create a generation gap, u know u've done it now.
